A few Questions

Does anyone know how long it takes to see Dr Beausoleil (months, years?) Is the waiting time the same even if you pay for the surgery up front? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Josie

Hi there, I waited for 3 years for the whole process. And from the time my family Dr sent a referral to Dr B. until I saw him for the first time it was 16 months. I have heard various things about people paying for surgery upfront. I know that Dr B told me he doesn't allow anyone to pay for byass (cause you never know what will happen - ie complications) but you can pay for lapband total surgery....and from other people on here I have heard that you don't wait as long but it is still a while to be fair to everyone. I'd give the office a call and see what they have to say. (506) 858 8199. I don't know what the waiting is now but I waited 3 years as well start to finish. I saw Dr B for my consult August 2006, went to the full day information session January 2007, signed my consent in April and had my surgery in July. Not sure about self pay but I'm thinking it might not be much faster. I have a friend here in Saint John who went the self pay route but she went to Ontario and had her surgery within a few months.
