Got a date!

HOLY COW!!!! got a date today. Excited and scared to death all at once. August 29th is the date. I have this feeling like I am excited, and want to cry all at the same time.

Congrats Lori M! So happy for you How long have you been waiting start to finish?

HMM I think I have been waiting about 32 months. I asked to get a referral and waited 16 months. Then...saw Dr B a year ago april for the first time. So another 12 months. Then from april until august will be another 4 months....I think that is how long it has been. May have been a longer wait from the referral until Dr B. I know I have been researching and searching things out from March of 2003. Seems like a long time, but time goes by fast I guess.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Congrats on your date!! Now just be careful not to put on ANY weight at all.. you don't want to lose this date! I am really excited to have some more people join in on the loser side!! LOL.. Angela

Congratulations and I echo what Angela said make sure you don't gain..not even as much as half a pound from here on out or they WILL cancel it! I'm now almost 2 weeks out, and have lost 15 lbs. so far. Something I want to mention after the surgery don't freak if you show a gain for the first few days..that's simply from all the fluids they pump into you and from the gas they use. I say this because after the surgery I had actually gained 4 lbs..at first.;)

Awe thanks everyone!!! That is good to know about what to expect in the first few days for sure. And hopefully I won't gain anything from now until surgery....holy that would be depressing. I am still freaking out a bit. Thanks again everyone!!

Hey Lori - don't say "hopefully", make SURE you don't. Take it from me - I gained 5 lbs and mine was cancelled back in May. You don't want to wait another couple of months so be good Wishing you lots of success!

Thanks everyone! Now I just have to get my myself in gear here and lose this last little bit of weight before August 8th so I am not cancelled!!!!
