Has anyone heard if they have the schedule for the week of July 9th yet?

I am still not rescheduled and waiting OH SO PATIENTLY. I will call them again this week but if anyone here has been talking to the office, have they scheduled the week of July 9th yet? I SHOULD be on it as I was #1 on the lapband list before I got postponed but I'm not confirmed as of yet.

Hi Krista I was talking to Natalie on Wednesday June 6th the schedule wasn't ready then but she did tell me that the Dr's had a meeting Tuesday night to go over it so she should have it "soon" -my idea of soon and theirs is two different things- I am #3 for bypass I had hoped to get a call by Friday to book preop tests but no such luck. If you call this week please keep us posted. Good luck for July I hope I get in July or August at the latest. Mim.

Called this morning and they still don't have the schedule for that week. There is one person ahead of me for surgery and she says "he usually does surgery on Tuesday". I don't know if she meant that is the ONLY day he does it This is so hard ...

I know he does one Gastric Bypass a week....likely that is on tuesdays. Cause I know someone on here has a date of June 19th.....so that is a tuesday. Aren't you for the lapband though??? So I think he tries to fit in as many as he can do of those.....hmm maybe she thought you were waiting for for the other???

I was confused as well - she knows I am lapband. I don't know how many surgeries he normally does a week but she couldn't tell me anything else except that one person was before me and that there could be more "changes" in the schedule. The feeling I got from her was that it could be later, not sooner.

Hi Krista, I was a.t Dr.B's office today.I was getting my last weigh in before my surgery.I was scheduled for June 19th.(bypass).Instead of confirmation ,I was told they cancelled my date due to scheduling issues in OR.I am just beside myself.Lise said that they would know more next week about July's schedule. I don't know how a person is supposed to stay focused and sain through all this!I feel your frustration so if you need to do a little venting I'd be glad to listen. Donna Weir

So sorry to hear about the delay...how disappointing!!!!!!When I signed my papers in April , I was told 3 months till surgery...I think I am 7th on the list, for Lapband, and I don't think anyone has been done yet!!!!!! Maybe by Christmas.!!!!!!..the thing is there is not a darn thing we can do about it!!!! How frustrating!!!! I guess with anything in the medical field , waiting is the name of the game!!! That Sucks!!!! SOOOO difficult!!! When I called yesterday they had told me that someone was bumped. So terrible! They also told me they should know the schedule for july and august on monday. And I am number 8 on the list for Gastric Bypass. (I signed my papers in Jan, back then they thought it would be 4 months, before 6 months for sure they said...hmmmI think we will pass that by) Also...Dr B is doing a rotation first week of July in ICU so no surgeries then, and then taking the last couple days off of July and the first week of August. So bascially there are 3 weeks with no surgeries....Hard, but I suppose they need to take vacations when it is nice too. LOL SUCKS for us!!!! So I am thinking I will be in Sept sometime hopefully!!! I think we will all have to keep venting to each other!

I feel for you I really do. I just had my bypass last Tuesday on the 5th but my original date was April 26th and mine too got cancelled due to no beds being available..and I can tell you for sure that they are having a lot of problems with finding beds and everything. I was down in the intensive care both nights even though I was supposed to be transported to a regular room the day after surgery because they had no beds in the other ward. There were also 4 other patients stuck in the intensive care unit who were ready to be moved to the regular ward but also couldn't be moved. When mine was originally cancelled I was almost ready to call Lise and cancel it altogether...that's how disappointed I was...and wouldn't you know I wanted to go on an eating spree of junk food and pizza..didn't though,, got to keep your wits and still follow the pre-surgery diet the best you can even if it might be a month or two down the road before it's rescheduled.
