Frustrated

Hi I am new to posting. I have found this forum very helpful for the past year and have decided to finally join in. I am getting very frustrated with the wait. I have been waiting for 4.5 years. This is my 3rd Dr. It seems every time I get close they shut down the program. I was just told by Dr B's secretary that he will not be seeing any "new consults" for April and May and even possibly all summer. Has anyone else been told this? I am 12th on the pre- approved list. The most frustrating thing is that I have jumped through all the hoops for 2 other Drs and now still have to go through everything again. I was also told that health has no bearing on how quickly one gets done but I have read that this is not so. Sorry for the rant but just needed to get it out! Thanks Krista

Hi Krista, Wow you sure have paid your dues!!!! I know the Dr is really busy but it dosen't help when you have been waiting 4 1/2 years.I signed my consent papers on 13/04 and am now waiting the call for the Lapband surgery. I have been on the list for 2 yrs with Dr B...Hopefully things will fall into place for you this time. Darlene

Hi Krista, I was also told by Dr. B's secretary in Marsh that he would not see any new patient in April, but when I called, she did'nt mentionned about May and the rest of summer. I sure agree that this is really frustrating. I am 7th on the pre-approved list. But when I read others saying that's it's worth the wait, it kind of help me. I set myself a time to call back Dr. B's office and meanwhile, I try to forget. Last time I called was beginning of Marsh. I plan to call in June. Hopefully, his secretary will have better news. Thank you Pascale. It is comforting to know that I am not the only frustrated one out there. I too try to forget and let the time pass by... but it is hard whenever you are having aches and pains due to the weight. LOL The thing that seems to bother me the most is everyone seems to be told different things so it leaves me to wonder what is the truth??? I hope you get your call soon! Good luck!! Krista

hummm i will call and ask. im due for a follow up. and yes its so worth the wait.(weight) until than dont give up hope. plan out what your new goals are going to be, keep focused and remember how much healthyer you will be. learn some new recipes,think about all the ideas that will make yhou so pumped for this operation. your all such beautiful people and your so worth this.
