Surgery Tomorrow

Good morning, I go for my gastric bypass tomorrow. I'm so excited, this is my beginning. Its hard to believe that after almost 3 years of waiting it's finally going to be over.

Well bad news..they had to cancel my surgery because they dont have enough beds...Figures nothing ever goes as planned for me..I'm just about ready to say to heck with it all and not bother.

Don't give up now Pam....I am sure they will re-book you real soon.....I know how disappointed you must be but I am sure it will come soon. Darlene PEI

Awe sorry that happened!!! That would be nasty to be all ready to go and have it cancelled....but I am sure they will call you soon with another date!

Hi Krista, I missed seeing you on the 13th in Moncton, I went over Thursday night because of the bad weather forcast...I had some trip home Friday in the heavy wet snow...I don't think my Mom will want to travel with me again!!!!Hope we hear something soon. Darlene

Pam .... I can't imagine how it would feel to get this far only to have it postponed at the last minute! If you just can hang in there for another short bit, I bet you will be on your way to surgery in jig time! New you soon ... I can't wait to hear all about it ! Sherry

Don't give up!!! My surgery was rescheduled within 3 weeks of them cancelling me.. and trust me.. I was so worth waiting for!!! Hang in there! Hugggz

I'm hanging in but I REFUSE to get my hopes up about it happening anytime soon. I'll never do that again..had to do too many arrangements with the family just to have to cancel it all less then a day before. I thought my wait had only been about 3 years but I checked and I've actually been on the list for over 4 years cuz I was on Dr. MacDonald's waiting list before he quit and they transferred me over to Dr. B..and I've seen people have their surgeries done with less then a year waiting and I'm a category 1..sorry doesn't make sense that I've had to wait so long. but nothing I can do I guess.

Smiles, at least they called you to cancel *L* I drove for an hour, got to the hospital, got prepped with my IV and waited for 3 hours in the bed before Dr. B came in with a mask on, said he was sick and told me I had to go home...LOL I was really disappointed, but it really didn't take that long to reschedule and it just gave me more time to practice doing all of the things that I was going to have to do after my surgery and gave me the opportunity to lose more weight and make my surgery safer. I hope it all works out for you soon... Good Luck!
