Hey Darlene, I have to pay the entire cost of $ 16,000.00. That includes all the Optifast for 1 month and some antibiotic skin and hair wash for use the morning of surgery. Medicare won't pay anything. I also have to pay for airfare for my husband and I and 2 nights in a hotel. I fly up on the 26th meet with Dr. Cobourn at 4:00 then have surgery in theam of 27th. When I wake up I go stay at the hotel for 24 hrs then come back for a check up before flying home that afternoon. Are you having gastric bypass or the lapband. By the way my husband is from Charlottetown. Debbie

Hi Debbie I am having Lapband, isn't it terrible Medicare won't pay for the whole operation that will help us to get healthy..some of the other things that they will cover makes me wonder!!!
