Just home from getting my test results back and meeting with Lise today. All went wonderfully well. We had a great talk and I feel totally at ease, even more than I did once the panic passed. One week from tonight I will be home and banded..kinda hard to believe but I am sooooo grateful. I feel I need to appoligise to everyone for being such a spaz on the weekend when I was so upset..I should never have posted anything untill I had all the information and not jump to conclusions. Anyhoodles..I'm off to the feathers...have a great week folks Talk soon Carol

hi charity..thanks for the YEAH!!! *LOL* Yup I'm pretty pumped up over it. As for the tests...they are special test for Us bariatric patients..these include..under finger nail swabs, (these only hurt a lot), stress tests..where they make you run 5 miles on a treadmill with no water, ummmm oh yes I had to swallow this giant Q-tip the size of a lightbulb so they could swab the interior of my stomache ..That and a bit of anal probing and you are good to go. *giggles* ok ok ok ok.....so I lied...it takes about 2.5-3 hours depending on how busy they are..but you have blood work done, ECG and chest X-ray. Befor those tests you will be spending some time with Lise in her office then the weigh scale thingie. She took my blood pressure as well. Oh a word of warning though.. Be VERY careful when Lise weighs you..she can be VERRRY tricky. I have to leave you SOME suprises.

I forgot to say too that..I had a great talk with Lise, asked the questions I wanted answered. Got the answers I wanted. Actually she was so informative I harldy had to ask anything, she just gave me the info I needed. I feel totally comfortable in my decission..no hesitation at all... So I guess my advice even though no one asked for it would be to......If you have any questions or concerns..call or email Lise or one of the team. Do not panic if you hear something or read something that concerns you. Go right to the horse's mouth. They are nice horses

Wishing you all the best on your surgery! Did you get any different information than I shared? I want to make sure I have it right - I've emailed Lise but no reply yet.
