I have been waiting since September for my info session ... but I guess I am not alone ? I was told that it will be in February .... I was hoping I would have heard a date by now . I was also wondering how many more trips I will have to make to see Dr B before the surgery? Anybody know? I usually start planning my summer about now ... but all is on hold until I know what I will be doing . I also do not know how much info I am going to share with my friends , family and co-workers regarding my surgery .... will I tell them ... I'm not sure ! Do I run the risk of not being able to get the surgery because of some of my medical tests ... like blood pressure .. ulser etc ? So many questions .... I am getting very anxious!! live love and laugh Sherry

I'm waiting too Sherry. I was told that January was totally booked, and most of February so I probably wouldn't get it until March. Still, I wish I knew well ahead of time, because I'll have to book off the day of and the day before. Since I work nights, I can't work my shift and then go to an all day information session and then work my shift again with no sleep, lol. The earlier I can book off those days the better so work doesn't freak out. I say let them freak though, I've waited too long for this to let anything get in my way. I hope you hear back soon

I was the same. Got a call around 9 the day before the info session. So no notice. But that was ok with me, work is pretty good to me! As for the number of trips....the info session, then a day to sign papers, that is only 10 mins. Then the next appointment is to have the tests, they say that is a 3 hour appointment. Then there is one more time where you go down a week before surgery to check on weight and things. But I think some people don't have that last appointment if you are called to come in for surgery because of a cancellation. Then finally the surgery. Which you never know when may happen so you have to be prepared. As for the results of the tests, don't know if they find something, likely it could effect your having surgery....I would imagine it depends on what they find. Maybe it would require more tests, or something like that....always a possibility.
