hi there I see some of u have had your surgery done by Dr,Beausoleil. My doctor put in my referal in 3 months ago about how long did u wait until u got an appoitment or a call from his office?

His office is still saying the wait is 5 years (sorry to break the bad news). However, there is a new surgeon in Bathurst, who is in the midst of setting up a clinic. His name is Dr Marc Savoie. His contact info is in a recent post here somewhere. I would have your doctor to send the referral to Dr S too, but don't inform Dr B's office or they will take you off his list.
I don't think the wait is 5 years anymore because there are now 3 new surgeon in NS and NB (Dr B used to handle all of NS).

is the 5 year wait for a meeting with him or surgery my friend has gastric by pass  about  2 years ago and she waited a year i'm looking for lap band???      

I waited for 3 years 6 months for my first appt , I still have three more appts to go then I get a surgery date.They are  still working on referrals from 2004 2005 when medicare changed the need to go to a specialist they had to go back and redo all their referrals. But I believe the wait for bathrust maybe shorter but the doc there is not seeing anyone until the fall.

Just wondering if you could give me the names of the doctors in Nova Scotia and I assume they are all in Halifax.
I am going to check with Dr B's office to see if I'm still on their waiting list.

NS is not seeing anyone at this time from NB today I had the news and was on the list for a year waiting to hear and it was very disappointing after the year to hear as I would have perferred to hear this news earlier .They have a list of 2000 ppl from NS and PEI and that is who they are seeing at this time .
