1st. Fill
Hi Carolyn,
Welcome to the loser side. You will find having the band the best thing you could have given yourself.
Your first fill in usually 8-10 weeks post-op. Most doctors want you on solids for about 4-6 weeks. It was close to 10 weeks before I had my first one. When you are on solids it is frustrating when you are hungary and if the wt is slow to come off. Keep going and stick to the rules. I found drinking the water and making sure I did my atleast 30 min of exercise helped a lot. Sometime I had some low cal snacks helped also.
Good luck
Laurie
Carolyn,
There is one food that I can not live without and that is popcorn. I can't eat bread. Which I love but I have tried on many occasions and it gets stuck. Not a good feelijng. I can't eat ice cream since I had my gallbladder removed. I hardly drink pop. So what do I have left is popcorn and I refuse to give it up. The uge to eat when you know you should not is what I found out to be head hungar.

Hey guys, thought I give you a quick update. I get my first fill tomorrow and I'm very excited. I've been playing with the same 6 pounds now for weeks. I have no restriction what so ever but I still don't eat like I used too.
Hopefully, I'll start losing again. I'm six pounds away from my first little goal I had set for myself then I can start working on the next one. One good thing, however, is my pants falling down around my ankles.....lol.
Hope everyone is doing well.......keep the updates coming.
