You know.. I never in a million years thought that either. I thought OMG wouldnt it be great to get back to a size 10. but tonight I was able to get a size 4 pants one, buttoned, and zipped, I started shaking. it will come, just be patient! tiny tiny baby steps, rome was not built in a day, but this can work for you. lean meats and leafy green vegetables and 64 oz of water a day. that is my motto.

OMG... that was such a rush today!!!
btw.. I ended up in a size 4-6
that is not a typo
that is freaking true
6 pants and 4-6 sweater. I am so totally dying here!!!
got a few tears in the changing room. I had taken in some 8's and had to go back for 6's, that was just more than I could handle.

I got the giggles today.
I decided to make a life altering change 9 months and 1 week and 3 days ago! I went to the doctor and asked the question, will this really work for me.
he said yes, but it is just a tool, the ultimate question is can you make it work for you, can you change who you are and what you do to cope when you have issues, so 6 months and 2 weeks ago, I went in for surgery.
now it is 4 days before my 41st birthday and I am still alive (was not sure about that 7 months ago) and now I am LIVING not just EXISTING!! I am completely off all medications, 100% except for my flintstones each day. I am able to work and play and live like I could 21 year ago. I am back to the weight I was 21 years ago.
my BMI is WITHIN NORMAL RANGE!!!! according to WHO and CDC and I am in the 33% for my height and age! 66% of people my age weight more than me. how freaking cool is that?
so yippee skippee I am going out today in search of clothes. while I am still loosing about 2 lbs a week, it has slowed down enough that I feel safe getting some tight clothes and knowing that I will not be running nakid. ;)

Hi Debra,
Thanks for the encouragement. When Lisa found out what insurance company I had she said they were the worst to work with and that they had had one patient where is took 9 months to get approval. She said they seem to "loose" or misplace the paper work so they eventually went to sending everything with a return comfirmation atttached. I had that exact thing happen with Rohrer's initial request. Three weeks after sending it and receiving the confirmation card I called the insurance company and they had no knowledge of it. Long story shorter, had I not called weekly and literally "walked" it through their system I think it would still be sitting in their mail room. Their initial response is to require among other things I had satisfied already, a six month doctor supervised diet with documented notes. Well, I have a doc and I have tried many dieting strategies under her direction but I am a fiscally responsible kind of gal and didn't think I needed my doctor to hold my hand while I took care of this on my own so I didn't see the doctor on a monthly basis. I am anxious to get on with the program so this is a frustrating detour but I am trying to look at it as a way to educate myself a little more. Look forward to hearing more from you.
