Topic: RE: Kalispell support group to begin in March
That is too bad it's at 2pm on a weekday.  I work M-F.  Any thought to an "after hours" time or day?  I had been to a few support group mtgs at the Co. Library, which were on a Saturday.

Topic: Any Great Falls Lap Banders???
I just had my lap band on the 14th of this month and would really like someone to talk to that knows what I am going through. Anyone out there? Hope to hear from you.

Topic: Are there any MT State Employees out there?
I was just wondering how many other MT State employees were following the insurance guidelines to qualify for the WLS coverage.  I have a tentative date set and am following all the "rules" they've outlined.  For awhile I would get different information on the rules / qualifications everytime I'd call HCBS, but I think they're all getting on the same page now.  The Why Weight program is lame in my opinion, however I'm willing to do whatever it takes to qualify !  I am very hopeful and determined that this WILL happen for me.

Hello, We meet the first Friday of the Month so the next meeting is May 2nd.  We are meeting in the conference rooms.  When you go into the main Summit door you take a right and follow the hallway.  There should be a sign posted on the door.  We are paying $5.00 at the desk for the cost of the nutritionist and support staff.  The meeting begins at 2:00 pm.  I hope you can make it.  Sharon

It's been a long time.

I've had some
really bad health issues due to having had gastric bypass surgery
.

I was so happy with the way I looked but now
if I could go back and change it I would.

I am severely hypoglycemic, anemic and I have to take mega doses of vitamin d (50,000i.u. 3 times a week) in addition to my regular bariatric vits.

I have horrible headaches every morning when I wake up.

I have no strength, can't open a jar, hard to open the car door - anything simple like that. I am NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE UNTIL THEY CAN REGULATE MY HYPOGLYCEMIA

It's ******g up my career.

My heart is constantly palpitating fast and hard.

It's ******g up my life.

I feel like I am going to black out or have a siezure. It's harder now to do an everyday task than it was when i was heavy.

I thought this, this almighty god given medical miracle was going to make me healthy and it is killing me.   I regret it.  I wish I would have never gotten this surgery.

(BTW, I had my surgery in May of 2005.  Everything was cool until 2 months ago and now the **** is seriously hitting the fan.  SERIOUSLY.  And it is because of gastric bypass surgery)

I would love to have a support group in Billings.  I'm just getting started and that would be so helpful!
