I answered the email you sent me, did you get it? The two week liquid diet was terrible, and fortunate for me it actually ended up being a week because my surgery was approved ten days before my date and then my date was moved up four days! I was soooo glad! You can eat raw veggies right, cucumbers saved me, and I did have ranch dressing with them. that's a liquid right??? lol. I was bad, I also cheated one night when I made quesadillas, I cut them into six wedges and I ate one of them. It's a wonder I had surgery! LOL. I'm probably not being much of a help. I think it did actually get a little easier after a couple of days, the quesadillas were just too much tho'!
Keep your eye on the prize! You are going through this because this is what you have to do to start your new life! Soon it will be a distant memory!
Good Luck! Keep us posted!
Sometime this board can be like a ghost town, have patience!

I miss food already LOL Thanks Bobbie :O)
This is the last time I am posting this here on the board (yes I know thank goodness right) till it rotates off the main page, which at the rate in which this board moves will be years from now.
We have become quite a good sized group and are growing all the time. Its been wonderful to find local support where there was none before. We now have a variety of people who have had/will have various types of WLS surgery, preformed by various surgeons, so it makes for a great diversity of information and conversation.
We hope that those either from Billings or even passing though will pop in and say hello.
We meet up often so there is always someone to chat with.
Anyways good luck to everyone!! Happy Losing!!

That is soooo funny that you posted your bill. I talked to Lisa this morning and asked her how much she has heard the out of pocket has been for State employees. She said that your doctor is a little higher, I am anxious to see what that means.
I got a ;etter from insurance saying I really only have to see a dietician three times and I am approved so I guess the 13th of October may become a reality after all. I am glad you are doing so well. Thanks for being the trail blazer Diane.
Hi Amy, Hope all is well!
It's hard to keep in perspective that it's only been 17 days since surgery, I feel so good, but yesterday, I went to a baby shower and then picked up a few things at the grocery store and I was wiped out! I had to come home and take a nap! I guess that's my age showing!!
I love that I have new food choices, like eggs and cheese, and my beloved refried beans and cheese. But I'm wanting meat! I hope this Friday when I go back, she'll give me the green light for fish and maybe chicken?!
Carrie, only two more months!! It will go by in a flash! I'm excited for you!
Amy, how did your first week back at full time go? Are you getting more comfortable with lunch? I go back tomorrow, I usually have lunch at my desk though, I think I'll just take my protein drink and a little cheese to snack on, i'm going to try six hour days at first and see how that goes!
I wish all of you a great week, and I'll "talk" to you all soon!!
Diane
