Topic: YAY! I AM APPROVED FOR SURGERY! (((Billings)))
Thanks to the wonderful insurance girl at St. Vincent's Weight Management Clinic in Billings MT (which I HIGHLY recommend) I was approved by my insurance in 3 days! They set up an appointment for me to meet with a surgeon on March 17th! Quite the way for a born and bred Butte girl to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! WOOHOO! I am going to keep this MT board posted on my experiences.. because I think more people should know about the program that is available in Billings. So far everyone at St. V's Weight Management Clinic are very helpful and very nice to work with and be around. The RN (Misty) is one of the most educated gals around when it comes to WLS, she has had it herself and she teaches pre surgery classes and leads the support groups. I have learned more from Misty than I have online and I've spent years researching it here online. They are also going to start a local clothing exchange here as well. I will post here when I know what the surgeons are like! Houvah Payvah, Aims McB

Have you ever had a difficult time getting emergency medical care because you did not have access to an emergency vehicle that could accommodate your size?

If you have had such an experience, and you are willing to share your story for an upcoming article in Obesity Help Magazine, please contact staff writer Barbara at [email protected]. When you write, please include your name, state, e-mail address, your phone number (if you do not mind being contacted by phone), and the best time to call.

Thank you!

Hi Amy Yes there are some of us out here. I'm still pre-op and live to far away to attend your support group, but it would be nice to have contact with others in the state - even if it's only over the Montana boards. dianne k
