I am looking for feedback from anyone with laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery. I have been hearing horrible things and now I am questioning as to whether or not I should do open or laparoscopic. Thanks.

I had open - I choose it for personal reasons, but I have two friends who had lap and they did fine. You can check my profile if you want to read more.

Hi,
I had laparoscopic RNY 10/25/05 and haven't had any complications so far. I had mine done in Missoula and as far as I know, the Dr. will tell you if you're a candidate for laparoscopic surgery or not, then you can decide. I chose laparascopic because the recovery time is much faster.
