State of Montana Employees

Any of you out there a State of Montana Employee that has Blue Cross, Blue Choice, or New West and have been denied surgery because it is not a covered procedure? Or have been approved? How did you do it approved or denied? I was denied. I called my insurance company New West and asked about an appeal. They said I could but the chances of it getting approved are slim. Can anyone help me in showing me the direction to take? Or help me fight this together to get the State to start making this a cover procedure. Obesity isn't a fad it is a disease.
