BC/BS program for uninsured in Mt-Does it cover WLS?

Hi, I am a new member who is considering the surgery. I have the opportunity to be insured by BC/BS program that is for people who are uninsured in Montana. This program requires a co-payment for services. Does anyone know if this program would cover this surgery? I realize that I would probably have to wait 12 months as it would probaby be considered a pre-existing condition. Thank you so much for your help.

I have a BC/BS plan, but mine is for federal employees. You might try to find out from their website what the plan actually covers. I know that their college student plan has WLS as a written exclusion and I haven't seen anyone able to get it covered, so I would be very careful before enrolling in a plan and discovering it doesn't cover what you need. I don't know what your financial situation is, but it might be easier to finance the surgery. I might look into it and see what I can find on their website for you.
