Driving to Mt. from California??

OK fellow OHers .  My dauther is going to work at a church camp this summer near Bozman (Fishtail) MT this summer.  Just wondering which way is faster to get there by car.  Coming from say Sacramento, CA.  she could drive up to Medford, OR and spend the night with family...then up to WA and across for the next day to MT.  Or she could go to Salt Lake City...spend the night in a motel...then up to Bozman.  So which way would you take?  Which is faster and easier?  Any help would be great.  Thanks...Brian (a concerned dad)

We've always gone through SLC on our way to California.  I think the oregon, washington is a prettier drive but might be longer.

By the way, my daughter always attends a church camp in that area and is old enough now to be a counselor this summer.  Your daughter is going to have a great time!

Thanks, we decided it would be faster to go by Twin Falls and Yellowstone.  Alot of boondocks but much faster.
