Support in Helena

Hi -
I am new to the online world, but not so new to the wls world.  I had surgery April 30, 2007 and have lost a considerable amount of weight.  I am in Helena and would really love to join a support group here, but can't find one.  Any other Helenans who know of a support group (face to face) or would like to start one?

I'm not in Helena but wanted to wish you luck with finding a support group. We just got one going here in Billings and its made a world of difference having people to talk to face to face. Hope your doing well and your surgery has been a success!

Thanks for the well wishes.  Not much luck finding Helenans, but luckily I have supportive friends and family.

Welcome to the board!  This board is kinda like a Ghost Town at times, you have to be patient, but this is a good place to start looking for people to start a support group, I would just keep up the postings.  I know the Bariatric Clinic in Great Falls has a monthly support group, if you don't mind that beautiful drive, I think it's the last Thursday of the month, check out the clinic on benefis.org , I believe.  Also, the Center for the Treatment of Obesity at St. Pat's in Missoula, they have regular support groups.  I think I would like a support group to but Helena, is an hour and a half away.    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions!  I tried the one in Great Falls and had a carpool buddy for a while, but it gets to be hard with scheduling and kids.   There used to be a small group going in Helena I think, but I can't find them anymore.  :(
