Kalispell support group to begin in March

Hello everyone, The Summit in Kalispell will be having its first support group for bariatric surgery (lapband, bypass etc.) on March 7th at 2:00.  If you've already had surgery or are thinking about it please come.  I look forward to meeting you.  Sharon

Hello, we had our first meeting.  It was very nice.  We are going to meet the first Friday of each month from 2-3:30 at the Summit.  It would be great if you can come.  Sharon

When is the next monthly meeting?  Where do we meet at the Summit?  Just ask when we get there?

Hello, We meet the first Friday of the Month so the next meeting is May 2nd.  We are meeting in the conference rooms.  When you go into the main Summit door you take a right and follow the hallway.  There should be a sign posted on the door.  We are paying $5.00 at the desk for the cost of the nutritionist and support staff.  The meeting begins at 2:00 pm.  I hope you can make it.  Sharon

That is too bad it's at 2pm on a weekday.  I work M-F.  Any thought to an "after hours" time or day?  I had been to a few support group mtgs at the Co. Library, which were on a Saturday.

I would really prefer to have them after hours too.  I just happen to have that day off.  I will mention it to them at the next meeting.  I think more people would be able to go.  Do they still have support groups at the library?  What time are you off of work by.  I'm 3:30 pm but I live out of town so the soonest I could be back into town is 5:00 pm.  I went to one in Great Falls at 7:00 pm and that was a nice time.  I'll let you know what they say.  Sharon

They are still meeting at the Library in Kalispell...1st Sat. of every month from 11-12:30. 

I went to the meeting today.  Would 4-5 or 4:30-5:30 work for you?  Is the meeting in the library only for bypass or lapband?

I actually get off work at 4:30, so wouldn't be able to meet during the work wee****il 5 pm.  I went to the monthly mtg at the Library, which is the 1st Sat of every month at 11am.  It is for anyone whose had or is interested in having bypass or lapband.  There aren't any speakers or structure (so-to-speak), just a few gals getting together and sharing their experiences.  Everyone is very nice.  I just keep thinking there must be more of us out there.  I don't feel like our region has a lot of resources or support from the medical community.
