Hi, I am hoping to begin this process, but would like to know if anyone has been given approval from Blue Cross Blue Shield, through Plum Creek?  If so, is it the standard 80% after deductible?  Good news - please?!

Hi There Lisami, I have Blue Cross of CA for another company and we made sure they didn't have a reason to deny me.  Call the number on your card and they will tell you where to find all the information.  They might could email it to you as well.  When we submitted everything I could show I had tried dieting the last 6 months with my Curves memership, I had my physc elvaluation, meet with my surgeon and dietican.  I also made sure I had a medical history and medical reason for the surgury.  I began the process March 21 and I am having my surgury June 26.  You can do it!  I am! I would give your insurance a call and check with them to get the "straight scoop" on what exactly they cover and require for WLS. They really are the only ones that can tell you what you will need to not only be covered but what % you will have to pay out afterwards. Your surgeons office maybe able to help you with some of the details also.
