Hey everybody, how are y'all doing?
I am doing really well lately. I have dropped about 80 lbs, and now weigh 260. I have kinda stalled out around 260, but I am not that frustrated about it. I haven't weighed 260 since eigth grade. 21 more lbs, and I will weigh less than I did in 7th grade.
Well that's about all I have for right now, as I am headed to Disney World. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.

hey everybody. i am ready for thanksgiving. i am soooo happy school is out for the next 5 days. just thought i'd update everybody before I head off to Florida... I am going to Disney World with my mom, sister, stepdad, uncle, and cousin, so I won't be back on until Sunday afternoon at the earliest.

Hi, I live in Butler, Al, about 35 miles from Meridian, just moved down here a year ago from Meridian. I see you work in Meridian, do you know if there is any type of support group there? I know there are many folks who have had eithe gastric or lap band surgery, what are they doing for support? I would like to find a group that I do not have to travel 2hrs to attend. Farmgirl58

I live in Butler, Al just 35 miles from Meridian. Is there a bariatric support group in Meridia? I was told once that there used to be a support group that met at the EMEPA building, but was told they disbanded. Reason I ask is I know there are people in Meridian who have had some type of Bariatric surgery? Why is there no support group? I have not had my surgery yet, still in the evals and gathering information for my surgeon stage, hope to have Realize band surgery in January, but would like to start attending a support group which is one of the requirments of having the surgery.

Hey!! It has been wayyyyyy to long since I have been active on this site. I always said that "I will not forget where I came from"... but like many others... I lost my weight and became to busy to spend time on this site. But I am back and hope that I can help others the way that people like you and Christine and many others helped me when I was a newbie.. I made so many wonderful friends on this site.. some that I consider some of my best friends... You, Christine, Sara, Andie, Dawn, etc... the list goes on and on..

Congrats on your success, Joyce. Glad to see you on here. I hardly see any of the old gang anymore. It is pretty slow around here. I still check the board. I mostly hang out on the WLS grads board and for entertainment I read the Rants & Raves board. That is a pretty interesting place with some good debates going on.
