Topic: Runway Models Needed for New Orleans OH Event!
Hello from OH Events!  Time is drawing near for our September 9th and 10th OH event in New Orleans at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Canal at Bourbon!  We need runway models for our closing party fashion show on Saturday night!  Please email your high resolution "before" photos to[email protected] and we will put them all together for a fantastic slide show presentation!

If you don't have pictures, just send us your name, surgeon name, type of surgery and (optional) weight lost so far.  Then show up with an outfit that you want to be photographed in! This may appear online or in our OH magazine, with your permission of course!

Please send them in right away! We want this to be a wonderful event! Tell your friends!

Thank you!

Hi and I hope things work out for you... I attended the support group in New Orleans on Tuesday and it was pretty good. If you want to talk, you can always message me on here and I will reply.

Hi!

I too am scheduled for VSG in August. Since my insurance does not cover the surgery, I am having the surgery in Dallas, TX.  Only my family knows that I am having the surgery and I am extremely skeptical about informing my co-workers and friends about it due to overwhelming questions.  I am looking for a support group to even someone to exchange emails with regarding my upcoming surgery.  Any and all replies of support or information would be greatly appreciated.  I hope to hear from someone soon!

Dr. William Avara does various bariatric surgeries in Ocean Springs, including the Lap Band. His office hosts a monthly support group both on the Coast and in Hattiesburg. Free of charge. Contact his office for more information on support groups. You do not have to be a patient of his to participate.

My insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery, so it's off to Mexico for me.

Yes it is. I am so nervous but yet excited. I am already working in the vitamins and doing one meal a day and some shakes to prepare myself for the 4 weeks of only liquids. So far its been hard for me since I cook 3 meals a day for my husband. Where are you haveing your surgery done at?

Topic: When the bypass isn't 100%
Just found out that my sister's bypass, which was done a few years ago, was only 80% bypassed.  In other words, 20% of her stomach had never been closed.  She didn't lose much weight after surgery.  Of course, her doctor blamed her and said she wasn't following the rules.  She's recently had bad reflux and underwent a procedure, by a different doctor,  this morning when the discovery was made.
Anyone else have this problem??

Topic: O Band
Hi! I just have a question for a friend of mine since she doesn't have the internet. She was wondering if you can have the lapband or O band after having gastric bypass? I told her I didn't think you could but I wanted to ask and get other opinions. If you know anything about this any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Sonya
