Topic: RE: Read any good books?
I just read a book called The Chocolate Chip Cookie Murders. It is a whole series of murder type mystery books where the heroin owns a bakery in a small town and solves all of these murder cases with the police. All of her books have food titles and have recipes in them. Pretty cute. That is the only one I have read by that author, and I can't remember what her name is.
I have done several Beth Moore studies over the years, and they are always good. Beth Moore is very motivational. I just love her.

I love to read, but I confess I don't get to do it like I used to. But, I bought a book a couple of weeks ago determined to try and start reading more. I love mysteries. So, I bought a mystery by this author that all of her mystries have food titles and come with recipes. The one I just read was The Chocolate Chip Murders. It was pretty cute. Had some good recipes in it too. LOL.

Shelley,
I almost didn't add the reminder for the support group..(didn't want you to feel like we were to pushy)
we actually meet in the doctors complex...(small building next to hospital) go in the main door...turn right on first hall and go to end...the support group meets at 7 in room on left...
If you are interested ...those that have already had surgery (no pre-ops) meet at 5:45 in room on right...(at the end of hall) we meet with Dr. Hawks...and talk about the mental aspects of our WLS and our lives since then...
I look forward to meeting you ... see you on Tuesday...

Hi Wanna,
Thanks for the reminder about the meeting...I heard about it so long ago that I would have forgotten! . I will be there. Is there a particular room or directions once I get to the facility?
Thanks so much and I look forward to meeting you!

Topic: Plastic Surgeons in MS (Jackson Metro)
I am looking for a good PS in the Jackson metro area for a TT, Abdomenoplasty (sp?), and Breast Augmentation. I am two years out - have maintained my current weight for over 2 years. I only see a few reviewed on this site - wanted to know if anyone knows someone who is both an excellent surgeon and reasonably priced as I am without insurance. It would be great if they also had experience with WLS patients.
Thanks in advance,
Shelley

Topic: RE: How consistent are you with your New Year's Resolution?
Hey Tammy,
I did not really make any resolutions but I joined a gym and got a personal trainer last Monday 1-26-09. My goal was to go three times a week and last week I went 5 times and this week I have been 4 times. I also have been religious about keeping my food journal since 1-24-09. I mean I write EVERYTHING I eat down in this thing along with my activity level, what I drink everything. I think the 2 weeks to change a pattern thing is prob true. I am almost to the point of addicted writing in my food journal. The exercise is going wonderful to. I am hoping I get to the point where it just becomes nature to go at lunch and workout everyday. I have lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks so that is true motivation.
Glad to hear you are doing good with your workouts. I think realizing that you HAVE to do something for you and that there REALLY is no excuse for not exercising. It is just that excuses. I finally came to the conclusion that I OWE this to myself and I deserve to have at least that 1 1/2 to myself. Would I rather be doing someting other than exercise? OF COURSE. lol lol But I want it to become something I truly enjoy doing instead of something I feel I have to do. lol lol

Topic: Read any good books?
I started a new Beth Moore Bible Study on Esther this past week. So I guess the book I am currently reading is The Book of Esther. HaHa.
What about you?
Read any good books lately?
Reading forces us to slow down and spend a little quality time with ourselves.
And we all sure need that!
