Congrats! I had my 5 year surgiversary back in January. Time flies. I could hardley believe it had been 5 years already. Best thing I ever did for myself too.

Topic: looking for help/advice

Can any of u suggest a great plastic surgeon? I needed a TT and back skin removed. I would like to have someone do this thats done alot of surgerys on bariatric patients. Im willing to go anywhere in the US. Im not up to traveling outside the US. Thanks for any help u can give me.

I have BC BS of MS and I'm not a government employee. I was told that it would cover everything for gastric bypass but would not pay for Lap Band because they still considered that surgery an experimental one.

That was 2 years ago now.

I live in Texas so there's not many people around me that have experience with my insurance. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with BCBS of MS that you think might be helpful. I'm going through the "insurance game" right now trying to meet my requirements before we send in for the official insurance approval for the surgery. I can't wait!

Hi, the ball is rolling for my Realize band procedure...insurance approved, have two appts in march, one for the beginnings class and the other for the surgeon's appt. Will keep everyone posted.
I am writing this from work...my computer is very sick, has a bad virus, in the doctor tech office trying to be healed...but prognosis does not look good. The virus has destroyed several files.
I am hoping this computer geek can fix it for me, other wise will have to buy a new brain for my system which right now is not financially possible. Will try to keep in touch best way I can and when I can.

Topic: Support Group Meeting

Support Group Meeting tomorrow night, Tuesday, February 10 at CMMC Medical Building. Post-ops patients meet at 5:30pm with Dr. Hawks and then the regular support group meeting for post-ops and pre-ops is at 7:00pm in the waiting room of the Bariatric Center.

I hope to see some new faces! We will be discussing new officers and what we would like to see happen this new year. If you need more information or directions on how to get there, just reply to this message or send me a PM.
