The Clarion Ledger ran the story where senate voted against this bill. However, it was revoted yesterday and the bill passed in the senate 30-19.

Also, contact your doctor's office. Mine is working on putting together an information packet, at this moment, to forward out to all of their clients to get them involved and for Governor Barbour.
It would be awesome for Mississippi to take the lead and the intiative in becoming the healthiest state in the Union!

Hello all,
HB 1530 is a bill stating that bariatric surgery will be covered for state employees. The bill has passed the house and the senate. It is now headed to the governor for approval. At this time, the governor is negative about the bill. Please make calls to the governor's office stating your support of HB 1530.

Hi Everyone! Jackson Support Group meeting tonight at CMMC Medical Building. The post-op meeting at 5:30pm with Dr. Jean Hawks. The pre-op and post-op support group meeting at 7pm. The new physician with the Bariatric Center, Dr. Annette Low, will be speaking tonight.
Everyone is invited whether you had your surgery at CMMC or not. I hope to see some new faces!!

Hello and Welcome! Let me say, I would "bother" with requesting a review because you never know. You might be the one they decide to approve. Get all the documentation you can from all the doctors you can, write a personal letter along with photos. Tell them your story and see what happens! Best of luck!
