Thanks everyone for the well wishes.. I know Dr.Dolan is a great surgeon and that I'm in wonderful talented hands.. I'm the first one to get done at Keesler, besides an open RNY he did a few weeks back. So since I'm one of the firsts I know there is going to be some bumps in the road when it comes to the hospital getting use to have WLS patients, but I'm 110% confindent in Dr.Dolan.  It was super quick from the time she called me but I've been waiting for a year for things to get geared back up at Keesler and I'm so ready for this surgery! Thanks again.. I'll update you all when I get back from surgery...  ****Also anyone that had surgery at Keesler before Katrina, did you all have to do any kind of bowel prep? The nurse told me all I have to do is fast the night before, so I was just wondering if this was the norm for the Keesler program.. Just wondering.. :)

We are having a support meeting Sept. 4 6:00 pm at the hospital conference room in Oxford. It would be a good learning time for you if can come. Sorry to take so long to get back  busy, out of town and too much work to get on the board . It take most people several months to get all their paper work togather so don't get discourged. Becky will take care of you. just keep in touch with her every time you hear for your ins or dr.

I saw that you had posted to her, and knew you were praying for her too.  That is so sweet of you to offer to help Danny.  I think a visit would be MUCH appreciated.  You can talk to him when you are there and see if there is anything he might need - while he will not ask for anything, he will accept your help, so you could probably offer to buy him a hot meal or get him a Mountain Dew. Like I said, I think helping to take care of Danny so he can be there to take care of her, will be a big help to her.  Thanks you too! DeAnna

I use the Slimfast Low Carb shakes. I get them at Wal Mart. They have a High protein shake but they have alot of carbs in it and the protein is not that much higher. The shakes I get have 20 g of protein and 2 carbs.
