Thanks so much for the update ! So glad you were able to go up there. Did her daughter and mom get to come? I know that is where they would like to be; hate that it is so far for them. Gonna keep praying that she gets the strength to come off the vent.

Very glad you caught the ulcer before it got too bad. ;-) It stinks, but it's fixable. ;-) Congrats on the weight loss... you've done well!

I just got back from checking on Legina and sadly I have nothing new to report. They are still unable to remove the ventilator and they are still having to keep her sedated. Her BP is stable and her labs are holding but there is no real progress. They have attempted to remove the vent (lower the settings), but at this time she will not support herself. The nurse said she did attempt to squeeze her hand on command though, so that is good. Please keep her in your prayers.

Wow you are definatly getting your travelers miles. I understand I live in the city next to Ocean Springs and travel to Jackson once a month to see my surgeon so I definatly know how you feel. Sorry I can't help you on the ulcer advice but I'm glad to know that found out what the problem was for you can bounce back better than ever. Towards the nurse WOW that had to be an interesting experience but you know whats unique you got a chance to be an angel and a comforter to her. Hopefully God will take care of that whole situation and i'm glad she went home. Congrats on your weight loss I want to be just like you when I make it to a year lol. Be Blessed and anytime you need a listening ear I'm right here!

Her nurses are just THE BEST - they were all so sweet to us, and taking such good care of Legina. I spoke to her daughter, Haley, and she is so thankful to us and to everybody praying for Legina and helping them out. She should be visiting tomorrow.
