It won't be long and you will get to hold that little miracle you are carrying.  And it will be so sweet.  I know you just can't wait.  That little one will be so rotten.  LOL.

I am thankful for hubby, family, great friends this blessed gift God has granted me to carry for nine months which I might add I can not wait to hold.  lol lol  I thankful for myself and family's health and good fortune.  You are so right we all have such tendiences to dwell on the bad and all it takes is to turn the tv on and see that someone always has it worse than us! What?  BBQ hosted by the CMMC Support Group

Where?  Ridgeland First United Methodist Church                234 W. Jackson St., Ridgeland, MS Who?  EVERYONE is invited.  We wanted to include the OH board and let this be our September "get together". The details: This is a family friendly event.  We have a playground, large field (for the bari-olympics) and a large fellowship hall with industrial kitchen in case of rain!  So all bases are covered.  No excuse NOT to be there!  ;-)  The WHOLE family is invited.   Come and have some fun and fellowship as well as gain some support from others who've been there, done that!   Bring a potluck dish of some kind -- dessert, dip, or main course.  Especially if you have a great recipe we should all try, but be prepared to share the recipes!  ;-)  Bring enough drinks for your clan!  We will have some bottled water onsite.  We are providing the meat for BBQing and the paperware, so just come and relax and be prepared for some fun! Any ???'s just drop me a response or private email.

HUGS!!

Topic: What are you thankful for?

I know so many people right now who are sick or struggling with some tough problems.  And, of course, if you watch the news every day you see horrible acts of violence happening everywhere.  And it is so easy to get wrapped up in what is going on in our own little immediate area that we think we have it rough until we see or meet someone is going through worse things.   So, in trying to be positive and start the day off right I thought we could share some good things that we should be thankful for.  I have been a little stressed with work and such lately that I forgot exactly how great I have it.  I am so thankful for my husband, children, family, and friends.  God has blessed me with some wonderful people in my life.  I am so very thankful for my health so that I can enjoy each and every day that God allows me to wake up and experience.  I have a good job and a nice home in a great town with a wonderful church family.  I am thankful for the rain we have had.  We needed it so badly.  And the trees and grass are looking so pretty and green now.  I could go on and on and on, but I will let you have a turn.  So, what are you thankful for today?

Hope everyone has a great day! Melissa

Well, yesterday, I worked as usual.  I went to the gym at 10:30 and did 45 minutes of arm and leg weights and did some exercise on the toning ball.  Then when I got off from work I went to the gym with my son and while he played basketball with his friends I did a class called The Works.  It is 45 minutes of really intense cardio followed by 10 minutes of weights and 5 minutes of abs and cool down.   Then when I got home I read some books to my daughter, fixed lunches for today, and played with our new kitty cat, Mozart.  Then it was off to bed for me as I was exhausted.   Hope you have a great day today!  Of course every day is a great day when we get to wake up and enjoy another day with our families and friends.   Melissa

Topic: LeGina update from daughter
(DIXIEDOLLFACE if you did not know)  I have not been able to get to the hospital this past many days, but spoke with Legina's daughter, Haley, last night.  She was able to visit with her mom Sunday, said mom was still very sedated and she had trouble understanding her as her throat is very sore probably from the tube.  Yesterday her blood pressure was dropping, I'm assuming lack of oxygen, and they had to put the vent tube back in, and are considering a tracheostomy because her wind pipe is so very small/constricted and she needs more oxygen.  Haley also said Legina has an infection in her blood.  So, sounds like lots more prayers needed - long way to go still - a visit if you are able would be great!  Cards or notes - Tammy's (posted on this site) daughter is putting together a scrapbook for cards and such for Legina.  DeAnna

I have also been diag with pcos about 10 years ago.  Of course I have prob had it my whole life without knowing.  Me and dh have been married 12 years in Oct and I am currently 8 1/2 months pg after 10 years of ttc.  I had surgery Aug of 04 and took about a year for my periods to regulate also.  I also want to mention I am currently 39 and dh is 41.  We had pretty much just given up on gettin pg all together when we got the surprise of our life in March.  I KNOW this surgery has EVERYTHING to do with me being able to get pg.  That along with the Grace of GOD!  So for ANYONE out there DONT give up hope!  It can and does happen!!!!! Topic: RE: PCOS and Gastric Bypass
haha.  so how does it feel to be pubescent?  Hopefully more good than bad.  I, too, was a very irregular teen and 20something.  I never had periods and hubby and I tried for years to get pregnant with no luck.  I lost 160 pounds after WLS and got pregnant within 6 months!  So though I didn't go through the treatments and labwork to prove my PCOS, I was self-diagnosed (had lots of other symptoms--hair growth, etc.)   Now post-baby and post-WLS I have an IUD to prevent pregnancy and periods have stopped again--but for a while there it was great to be so 'regular'.  I really felt better in general (or maybe that was the weight loss). This is just another example of how WLS helps more than just obesity.  I really wish more insurance companies would realize this--and the money that it would save them on other treatments if they'd cover WLS.  (Sorry, as a self-pay patient, I still want to rally to get them to realize the benefit of WLS and get off their excuse that it's purely cosmetic). congrats on your successes. :)  may your forties be the 'new twenties'.  haha. mary
