I am a teacher in MS and have the AHS State Plan.  Can you tell me how I can find more out about this Obesity Treatment Program that you are talking about?  I am very overweight and haven't had much luck with diet and exercise.  The most weight I have ever lost is 50 lbs. and put that back on plus more.  Please send me all information you have available.

Hi my name is Christy and my husband and I will be relocating to Hattiesburg, MS in Jan.  I had RNY done by Dr. Kenneth Mitchell of Feb 15, 2007.   I have had no problems, don't get sick, only thing is I need is a new Bariatric Surgeon for yearly check ups of if for some reason something rarely goes wrong.  My blood work comes back perfect and I take my vitamins like I'm suppose to.  I have been successful in loosing 184 lbs, gone from a 24/26 to a 2/4, I use t weigh 308 lbs.  If you have anyone that you like to recommend, word of mouth goes along way and I would appreciate any help.  Dr. Whitehead sounded good...

Did you ever find a Dr. To take you? I was Banded in Aug 2004 and moved to MS in 06 and have not been able to find a dr to give me my fills. I don't have insurance but they all keep telling me it is a risk. What the heck if you move to another state and you have a heart problem or diabetes those drs will treat you, so I dont see the difference. I am going to start going to all the drs websites on the Gulf Coast and post negative things if I cant get one soon.
