Hi Gateway,  not sure if this helps but I will be out 2 yrs in Dec. And believe it or not I still eat pretty much the same .  I "try" to do 6 meals a day.  I start out with  Breakfast...1 egg or some oatmeal with protein in it Lunch Adkins protein drink Dinner,,,,still do peas and cornbread but by the spoonfuls...but will usually snack more at night and I try to do things like nuts, cottagecheese,,fruit....Dense meats are still tough for me but I don't get hungry as often....need to walk more but overall pretty happy...hope this helps hon....Mel

Wow it is a small world.  My husband is in law enforcement.  I had a hair salon in Tupelo before we moved to Michigan.  It was there in Ypsilanti Michigan that I had my surgery almost 2 yrs ago.  I have lost 130lbs almost.   Great surgeon worked on  me and I totally did everything he told me to.  My dad lives near Wren Body Shop. I got married at Central Grove Baptist Church.  I miss Mississippi and get there as much as I can.  Married a Pontotoc boy so he knows where home is too!!!  I will definitely keep in touch with you.  Melanie

I have already completed my training through obesity help so we're on our way. we had a gathering last month and I really enjoyed chatting with other people who are going through the same thing. I am sooo glad that you replied. I would love to have you. I live on the east side of Monroe County and I am a Deputy Sheriff, I quit the road deputy job and went to work inside the Sheriffs Dept. Now i work day shift mon-fri. 8-4. I like the hours better, I actually have a life. My husband and I have horses and enjoy riding and showing. I have not rode a horse in over 2 years. I was too heavy. Now i am loosing weight and have had my left foot surgery to relieve Plantar Faciatis and bone spurs i am on my way to living life instead of just exsisting.

are you pre or post op? Make sure and email me when you come to the country. lol I would love to meet ya.

I saw the queen the night that the last harry potter book was released....she looked really good, but her husband was very very sick (as in they didn't expect him to live many more months).  she mentioned that she may move back to the area she came from (sorry i can't remember where that was).  I hugged her good...and pray for her and her family often.  i dont' really know where they are--if they were going to stay here until Em finished high school (think it's her senior year?)

Tiffany:

I live in Aberdeen and my daughter lives in Tupelo. I had a very successful mini gastric bypass a year ago and two months ago my daughter was revised to an open RNY from a VBG.

I'd be very interested in a local support group!! Please contact me at [email protected]
