Yes, it is a meeting/party.  Everyone is supposed to bring a WLS friendly snack to share with everyone.  It starts at 6:30 on Monday, December 17th.

Alot of police stations have things called Toys for Tots where they take the children to Wal-mart/K-mart... and let them get toys or whatever the choose. You might try contacting your local PD or Salvation Army. I am sorry times are rough for you all.

Topic: Lorrie's in a room
Well, I called to check on Lorrie so that I could post an update.  I have run into several people from on here in town while out Christmas shopping and everyone was asking how she is so I promised to get an update and post it.  Her mother says that she is out of ICU and in a regular room now.  She is still of course in pain physically and emotionally, but her condition has improved.  She woke up and got to get out of ICU which is great.   She will have a long road of emotional healing ahead of her so we all need to remember her in our thoughts and prayers especially right here at Christmastime.  The holidays are always a really hard time to lose a loved one especially a child I am sure.  My heart goes out to her for sure.    But one thing is for sure, she has lots of family and friends that love her and want to see her through this.  I got to witness that the other night at the hospital.   I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.   Remember to say all of the things you want to say to the people you love everyday because you just never know what may happen.  Hugs to everyone. I am 17 months post op and would really like to join a support group. Has anyone here visisted the Support group now started at the Wellnes Center in Tupelo? Just curious as to what is going on there. Are there very many post-op people attending or is mostly pre-op since they have only been performing WLS since Sept? Any info will be grealty appreciated!
