Don't be too hard on yourself for the 10 pounds. That is pretty much the norm. I know when I had surgery it was explained to me that the body isn't smart enought to go straight to its set point. It usually drops about 10 pounds below, hangs out there for a good while and then gradually creeps back up and stops at 10 pounds. And then there is your set point. The set point is described as the weight at which your body can stay without too much effort and dieting. My body's set point is about 8 pounds more than I wi**** was, but I have come to realize we get too obsessed with numbers on the scale. And that I really do feel good at this weight, and I am healthy. And the best thing is I don't have to diet to stay here. So, I have given up on the size 4 and am happy in my 8's. LOL.
So, my goals for this year are to just keep where I am weight wise. I have been holding here for about 2 years now. It seems to work for me. And I want to keep up my exercise program that I have been doing for the last year and a half. My goals this year are more aimed at not sweating the small stuff and just enjoying life and doing more fun things with hubby and kids. I am going to try really hard this year not to take life so serious and let work get to me. My goal is to plan more fun into my life and laugh every chance I get.
Good luck in 2008. I hope to see you at the January meeting. It has been forever. I hope we have a good turnout. We need to get our group back going strong. Maybe we can set up a luncheon or something soon.

I have gained ten pounds! I need to lose at least 25 pounds. I am going to set a goal to walk one mile a day during the month of January. I want to lose 25 pounds by June and maintain that weight the rest of the year.
What are your goals for January 2008?
Waht are your goals for the year?

My surgeon was a little on the conservative side as well...but I tried very hard to just follow it as close as I could....
I know that EVERY surgeon has different "rules" ...just do your best...and you will look back at this time (when you are down the road and a very successful bandster) and know that it is ALL WORTH IT...
