This is a support meeting which we all need. There is a meeting at 5:30 with Dr. Hawks that has proven to be very helpful in that issues are discussed. The regular meeting begins around 7:00. Please plan to come. Everyone is welcome to come.

Julie, thank you for your post. I am going through the process of getting all my information to Dr. Woodman. I chose him because I am in the medical field and didn't want to use Tupelo or Oxford, since I've worked in both places, because I have a hangup about people I know/worked with seeing me in surgery. But after seeing that Dr. King/Dr. Byars charge about $4000 and I am self-pay, I decided I could get over my modesty. So, I am going to Dr. King's next seminar and am considering going with him.
Since Dr. Woodman's office has all of my medical records, psy. assesment, nutritional assesment, lab/gi work, do you think they will give me a hard time about wanting all of that back to hand over to Dr. King? I mean, I paid for all that stuff out of my own pocket, so it shouldn't be a problem. I plan to ask them myself but it's Friday night and I don't want to stew about this over the weekend, lol.

i had my surgery five years ago in oxford. i am looking for a grup as my weight is beginning to creep up. can anyone come to the meetings??

Dr. Pinson. He is at the NMMC. You can reach his clinic by calling 377-SLIM. I have never used him for anythign but he saw my mom once while she had an extended stay in the hospital. Very nice man with great bedside manners. I work in health care and work iwth a couple of nurses who have worked on the same floor as him at the hospital. They both have wonderful things to say about him. Hope this helps!

Don't know of any in Tupelo, but Dr. Byars and Dr. King are in Oxford, MS....which is about 30 minutes from Tupelo. Their phone number is 662-234-3303. I use Dr. Byars and he is excellent. Good luck, Michelle

Sorry no one replied to you... but I was self pay for lapband and went to Dr. King in Oxford, MS and they had it bundled together into a package for around $14,000. I am sure that most doctors in this area would be competitive. If your sister is thinking about Dr. Woodman then she should change her mind and go to Dr. King... have had many friend see Dr. Woodman and say that he has no bedside mannar... Dr. King is total oppisite, as he is kind, patient and caring! I hope this helps
