Topic: Need DR's name in Ocean Springs
I know someone on the board gave me this surgeon's name before, but can't find it now.  All I recall is this doctor's last name started with an "A" and was in Ocean Springs, MS.  I am having some issues that I need to see this surgeon.  Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Beth

Things are not exactly like they used to be before Katrina, but it is back hopping.  The casinos are back up and running.  The casinos offer plenty of things to do.  We like the spa at the Grand, the dance clup at IP, and the Hard Rock has  some good food.  Gulfport has some good shopping at the outlet mall.  Have fun.

I like to use my hair dryer too, I just thought the heat would damage it further right now. My doctor said to not use any chemicals right now but I do color it every few weeks. That seems to make it feel softer . Anyway, I went today to Sallys beauty supply and got some hair cond. and shampoo for thinning hair , biotin, and follicure vitamins so I am going to do all of this and just wait. I will increase the protein now too. I have got the vanilla whey but I want to get some chocolate next. I plan to increase my exercise now and walk a lot, its been so cold and so many people sick with the flu I have been slacking on going to the park. Nice talking to you and thanks for the tips.

Congratulations!! You are doing great!! I find that when I consume around 80 - 85 grams of protein a day, I do not have the hair problems. My doctor suggest a minimum of 60 grams a day. I was having hypoglycemic episodes as wellas hair loss. When I went back for my lst visit, he upped my protein to a minimum of 80 grams per day and I have been doing much better! Try the Biotin and increase your protein intake and I bet you will see a big difference. PS.....I kept right on using my hair dryer. My hair looks like "Who done it" if I let it dry on its own. Best of luck to you!! Message me any time. I like to talk to other Ms folks!!

My protein is a little low but not much. i have not taken biotin because no one told me about it until now. i have got to get that and some vitaimins that i am out of as of today.i do have some whey but have not used it as much as the carnation so now i must do lots of protein and keep the hair dryer ect. off my hair i guess. maybe it will all take time but this has really been a change for me. i had the surgery on aug. 28 07 and i did real well. so far lost 85 pounds after surgery and 40 before so that is good. i want to lose 106 more.i just hope my hair grows back soon. thanks for the reply

When did you have your surgery? I noticed you did not mention that you take Biotin. My doctor strongly recomends Biotin for good skin, nails and hair. Mine tends to come out or look a little more coarse if I am not getting in enough protein also. Try some Biotin and you might also want to try a protein shake instead of just the carnation instant breakfast ( I use Designer Whey, it comes in several flavors and has a great taste when mixed with milk). These are just suggestions but my hair was very thick prior to surgery and got thin enough to see through on the top. It will thicken up and get thin again at times. I also used Nioxin shampoo at first. I used it once before when I had surgery and lost some of my hair due to being on so many meds for so long. It worked great then, couldn't really tell a great difference this go around. Hope you find what works for you soon.
