When is the next meeting in the Jackson area? I too am gaining weight. Need help. I am almost 7 years postout. Have gained bout 40 pounds.

I live in Ocean Springs and need help finding a live in to help with sons when their dad is traveling for work.  Any of you know of someone dependable, honest, drug-free, and loving that would be willing to help out? My sons are 15 1/2 and 13 so its not like they need constant attention. If anyone knows of anyone please email me at [email protected]. Hey Everyone... Just wanted to update you on my lab results and what not.  I had lab work done on Feb. 13th with my surgeon and my platelet count came back as "low".. not dangerously low, just low. So, they told me to make an appointment with a hematologist to find out what was going on. I had my appointment this past Tuesday. The doctor seems to think that its my B-12 vitamins that is causing my platelet count to be low. And my body isn't absorbing the B-12 pill that my surgeon had me on. So, I started the B-12 injection on Tuesday. I will take the shot once a week for a month then she will draw more lab work and see if my numbers come up any. So, I go back to her on April 22nd for all that and hopefully the numbers will be up where they need to be. If the numbers are up, then I will have to learn to give myself the B-12 shot once a month for the rest of my life.   Karine

Hi! Got moved in to the new apartment in Germantown, Maryland - go**** is small!  Not enough room to move around - good thing I am 134 pounds smaller!!!!!!! It snowed the day before Easter - so no new spring dress and white shoes for me........... The move has been very stressful and I am looking for a support group.  The one that is closest to where I live does not seem to be real receptive so  I am looking in the Baltimore area.  It means a 30 - 45 minute travel in heavy traffic, but I really need need a friendly group.  I am eating things I know I should not and finding myself in the kitchen way to often! Anyway, just wanted to check in and hope that all is well in MS.  Looking forward to hearing from y'all! Enthusiastically focusing on the POSITIVE,  Tracey

Thanks Connie & Amy.. I don't get on here a lot anymore.. It's just been so slow..  I would glad to a support group.. I've brought it up to Dr.Dolan's nurse the last few appt's I've had, & she would say she wanted to start a group, but then never would. I think you would have to stay on her a little to make sure it's gets done. Nothing against her, cause I'm sure she has a lot on her plate..  It just helps so much to have the support..  If you would please keep posting on how things are going and I'll be glad to help any way I can..
