You're correct. It was dropped within 48 hours by the guys who wrote the stupid bill. They said they didn't mean for it to actually go through but wanted to make a point. All it did was make people laugh at Mississippi for another week. Our legislators want to waste their time, energy, and money on wasteful junk like this and Medicaid still goes unfunded.

We are planning a Walk From Obesity. The walks are sponsored by the Obesity Action Coalition and the ASMBS Foundation.
We are looking to have a Mississippi Walk in Late September or early October.

You have got to be kidding me. There has been three rounds for the cutest baby contest and I have posted mainly on my pg after wls forum to ask people to vote and have not heard one thing from OH. I mean nothing. I mean come on it is just sweet contest. Not like they are running for ms america. lol lol Sorry again that I missed the last vote. That is a pretty big deal to make it to 2nd place and then just fall to 4th!

Topic: Pre-Op Liquid Diet questions
My first meeting with the doctor is a little over a week and I am researching info on the Lap Band procedure including what will need to be done pre-op.
I have read on various forums here about a 2 week liquid diet or a 2 week high protein, no carb diet leading up to the lap band surgery. I think it depends upon how high your BMI is, which of the 2 options the doctor will put you on. My questions are about the 2 week liquid diet.
1. Is this only clear liquids, or does it include creamy soups, etc.
2. Are only liquids allowed for each meal? Or do you have liquids all day long with a meal a day?
3. Is there a limit on the liquids a person can intake at a time? or a limit on the total amount of liquids for the day?

Well thank you anyway, Denise. He was in a close 2nd place Sunday night and then boom!, Monday morning he was in 4th place. He is okay with it. All that matters to him is that his daughter loves him and his wife thinks he is hot...hehehe!

Every 2nd Monday I think at 6:30 at Pine Grove Recovery on Broadway Drive. So July 14th is the next one.
