Gallstones

The medication is called actigall. It is especially for people that have rapid weight loss. Evidently people that loose weight fast,like gastric bypass surgery pts., are more prone to develope gallstones. This medication is supposed to prevent that from happening. Dr.Salameh told us about it. I kinda sorta hope I have gallstones on my ultrasound so he will go ahead and take it out. I have not talked to anyone that has been on that med. Glenda, Dr. Salameh put me on these after my surgery. You take them for six months and they didn't make me sick and I have not had any gallstone trouble or hurting--knock on wood. Nan

Hi Rhonda! Gall bladders are evil little creatures!!!! You will feel sooooo much better after you get it out and will realize that it is the reason you have been feeling yucky for quite a while. I had mine out the week after Don and I got married, bad timing, since about 6 weeks later I got on a plane going to live in Hong Kong, but eventually, I felt better and better. You will to!!!! Oh, no!!!! But the good news is that they say after gallbladder surgery you feel so much better. I surely hate you have to go thru this....and keep your cotton-pickin' hands off my man or I will get yer liver along with yer gall bladder!!!! smoochies Arlies
