We saw Dr. Salameh yesterday
We had our first visit with Dr. Salameh yesterday. It went very well. He said Walter will have to have the open RNY and I will have the lap RNY. Walter has more sick leave than I do,so I am glad mine can be done by lap. We had our blood drawn and got to get the pulmonary functions test and blood gases also. That is one hurdle we have jumped. I know we have many more. Walter has to have a sleep study. I do not. We are hoping they can do it in the day since we work at night. I will not be able to sleep any way since we will not be together.
Dr. Salameh was very nice. He seemed concerned. He was very non-judgemental. I am glad we chose him.
Thank you all again for all your support.
glenda and walter
Hi glenda and walter...I too was at Dr. Salameh's office yesterday! I had to be there at 10 am. That is where I met joyce r. He has turned me loose now. He is in fact a very nice person, he doesn't mind listening, and I love lori too. Best of luck on ya'lls journey. Oh, it took about 3 months from the first time I saw the Dr. To get surgery. Everyone is different tho.
We were there at the same time. We were there from 0845 to 1115,including getting blood drawn. I wonder if we saw you. I hope we get done fairly quickly. Walter is going to have his first and then if all goes well,I will be 2 months later. I am not going to get hopes up too soon. I know some take years to get approved.
Glad you are doing so well. I have met Joyce at a support group meeting. She has done great too. We should be so lucky.
Take care,
glenda and walter
