Is it the "norm" for anyone who has WLS will require plastic surgeon to remove the excess skin??

There will definitely be some excess skin, whether or not it is enough to require plastic surgery, I guess depends on the person. A lot of people will not have plastics and just live with the excess skin. If it bothers you to have the skin, which it does bother most of us, then you may want to check into plastic surgery to remove it. Luckily I don't have a lot, but I do have enough that it bothers me, my biggest problem is that I lost practically ALL of my boobs, so I am definitely considering breast augmentation. Funny thing is, I did not lose all of my boobs when I lost a majority of my weight, I have lost them over the past two to three months. I don't know if I really answered your question, but really, there is no "norm" to plastic surgery, it just depends on the person, and what makes them happy with their body. Most insurances will not cover plastics, so that plays a part in it too. Rhonda

I have excess skin. After losing 125 pounds its kinda hard to not have it. I am in the process of tryinig to get insurance to approve it but I doubt they will.
