Hattiesburg Support Group TONIGHT 6pm
Dr. Whitehead is retiring and I'm not sure if the Pine Grove group still meets. The group I go to is affiliated with Dr. William Avara in Ocean Springs. But we have about 18 people and 3 of them had their surgeries done somewhere else.
Anybody is welcome to come. Even those who just want to find out more about the surgeries.

Hey, how are you doing? I haven't seen you in a while.
I tried really hard to recruit people to try and get the Pine Grove group back in full swing. Janet even mailed out info to all of his former patients, but the meetings continued to be really small. And now, with Dr. Whitehead retiring soon he is no longer doing the gastric bypass. Janet and I had been corresponding as I was helping her to facilitate and run the meetings, but last I heard from her they had not found a surgeon to replace Dr. Whtehead and they were thinking of discontinuing the meetings as only one and two people plus me were showing up anymore.
So, I am not really sure what is going to happen with the Pine Grove group at this point. I do plan to try the other group out when I can. I understand there are about 18 *****gularly attend and a few of those had surgery elsewhere. I know a few who attend so I won't be amongst total strangers when I do get to go. So, if you are wanting to go to a support group you should try it out. Maybe I will see you there.
