I hope everyones new year is going well.  I am now 3 and a half months post-op. I am down 50 lbs after two fills.  I started @ 235 lbs and now I am 185 lbs. Feeling great. I exersice every day or at least every other day depending on how hard I work the day before lol.  I did have my very first STUCK moment.  I have been reading online about how food can get stuck and it hurts.  I had never happended to me until tuesday nite.  WOW!!! I was eating and I guess I either ate to much or didnt chew well and BAM! I couldnt not even swallow my own spit with out it hurting. This went on for about 15 mins then it started to ease up.  I can grant you that I cut back on the amount and now chew chew chew.  So I guess the answer to my question am I tight enough is a huge YES!! Those of you that have had WLS will know all about this and know where I am coming from.  Any way I wish everyone a happy skinny New Year!

You are doing fantastic...
and yes...getting stuck is NO FUN...and our bands can be kinda fickle...you look to be younger than me...so TOM can have an impact on your restriction...so make sure you use caution during that time period...(I personally don't have that problem,) but another time .... this time of year with the cold season...upper respiratory infection...even allergies...they all tend to make the stoma much more sensitive...so I use extreme caution during this time ... ( during my first upper respiratory infection ... during my FIRST winter...I became so tight...I could ONLY drink WARM liquid, for 2 days...)
that said...even at 3 1/2 + years out....I LOVE my BAND...and feel...that it has given me the oportunithy to live my life...
Good Luck
Blessings...Debbi

Hopefully you won't have another stuck moment. But if you do, take a quick swig of Coke. The carbonation will either cause you to burp and allow it to go down, or it will come up immediately. either way, immediate relief.
COngrats on the 50 pounds. Sounds like you are doing great and are very diligent with your workouts. Way to go!!
