I am about 2 months post-op.  I am down around 38 lbs (give or take a few lbs).  I am kinda stuck in a rut, I am a bit hungry at times and find that I can eat a bit more then I use to. SO I am getting a fill this week.  Now this is an idea that scares me lol.  I am ready to be back on the losing side of things but that whole getting a fill thing is still kinda ummm scary lol.  I am assured by the ppl at my support group that it is not that big of a deal but I am still nervous.  I will post again after 11-26-08 and let you all know how it went!  Have a great Thanksgiving! Dont eat too much!

Tarbaby,
as one who is 3 1/2 yrs out...the fills are easy....that being said...I was SCARED to death when I went down for my first fill...(I was more afraid of the fill than I was of the surgery....I am sooooooo afraid of needles...) my husband went down with me for the first fill...I think I squeezed his hand off...after that I was able to go by myself...(and it is the ONLY time I can willingly get a needle inserted in me with out having my BP go sky high...) I have had a total of 9 fills...(1 1/2 cc inserted in my 4cc band for the first fill and .2 cc each time since then...) Yes...I did say 9  and other than 2 times when I had a sinus infection/ upper respiratory infection...I have NEVER been to tight...that was always a big fear of mine...

I have just over 3cc in my band now...and have not had a fill since late july 2007... and only just resently feel that I need another very small tweek to my band....

I have lost over 100 lbs...and am able to do things that I never would have been able to do at 300 ++ lbs...Good Luck to you in the future...
Blessings...Debbi

Exactly! I was concentrating on raising my legs so much that I didn't even notice that I was in the middle of getting my fill. You don't feel a thing on your first fill. Very pleasant and only lasted 2 seconds, if even that long.
Good luck,
Tammy
