Hi Phyllis,
I'm 7 weeks out today and still struggling to eat anything with any consistency! I had a half of a melted mozzarella stick with maranara sauce and the inside of a beef and bean burrito. I ate the cheese stick because there was only about a teaspoon of filling in the burrito. I ate small bites, slowly, methodically, but yep, I dumped. My pouch just doesn't like food with any consistency yet. I am so believing things will get better.

Anita,
Bless your heart. I just said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to allow things to get better for you soon. I had trouble early out too. If you are near a Taco Bell, try some refried beans without the red sauce and cheese. You can thin them down a littel with a spoon of water. They have a decent amount of protein. Early out, this was my best friend. Cheese of any type was hard for me at first. It has a fair amount of fat and tends to be rubbery. I always got the foamies...ICK! Have you tried cottage cheese? I still eat cottage cheese real regular. I love to add a spoonof sugar free strawberry jelly. Yum! That is still a favorite of mine. Hang in there girl! It will get better!!

Thanks for the prayers! You are so sweet to pray for me.
I just ate some Wendy's chili, and believe it or not, I didn't dump. Sometimes I can eat, other times no and I never know. It just beats all I've ever seen! I know I won't be able to eat the leftovers, at least I can't usually eat leftover anything. Anyway, I'm hanging in there, and I'm learning what does and doesn't work for me...what a new journey!
I love Smuckers Sugar Free Strawberry jelly with splenda. I loved it before WLS, as my hubby is diabetic and that's what we buy for him. (it used to be so good on a biscuit with bacon!) I also eat it in plain greek yogurt and cottage cheese. Sometimes I put SF jello in the yogurt and cottage cheese too. I have no trouble with soft foods, but am having serious trouble transitioning to more firm textures.
