Northern MS / Memphis friends?

Hello, I'm new to this site and want to have WLS but have not started any steps YET! and can't even think of checking into it until after Jan. 1st.   I am also new to the northern Mississippi / Memphis, TN area and looking for friends and support groups around my area.

Hello priscilla,

I am in Batesville, Ms, Glad to see ya on the board. Good luck with WLS. I was banded on Sept 22. and going strong!!

There is a support group at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis on the 2nd Thursday of every month in St. Catherine's Hall. 7:30pm. We have quite a few that haven't yet had surgery.

Another smaller group meets at Patrick's restaurant on Park Avenue the other Thursday nights around 5:30.  We won't be meeting next week because of Thanksgiving.
