I got a date

I came home to school today, and found out that mere hours after filing with the insurance company I was approved for RNY. My date is 9.2.08.

I am happy for you! The next couple of weeks you will be walking on clouds. Make sure to do everything exactly as the doctor instructs. Even if you don't want to do it. It will make your recovery so much better that if you get lazy between now and then.

Congratulations, Jay!  That is wonderful.  I wish you the best of luck with a smooth and speedy recovery.  Follow your surgeons orders and make the very best out of this second chance for health and happiness.  It is so worth it.

Hi Jay,
I'm very excited for you that you have decided to have WLS and have chosen Dr. Avara.  I too made the trek down to the Coast.  You will be in good hands, Dr. Avara is a great doctor.  Be sure to follow his instructions and you will do well.

I had my 2-year surgiversary on Friday and go back for my 2-year checkup on the 29th.  Having WLS was one of the best decisions that I've made in my life.  I just wish lap RNY had been around when I was in my thirties.
