OK, as much as i HATE to admit it....i have REGAINED some weight! It didn't happen over night but over about a 9-10 month period...i assume(yhea, I'm afraid to look at the scales) around 30 lbs! yucks!! OK heres the question...has this happened to any of you? and if yes...was you able to get it back off? I have honestly been thinking i need a revision? I'm sure your thinking what i need is a shrink? ha ha probably true too! I just cant seem to get myself back  on track i go several days doing well, then i blow it big time. I am still exercising 5 days a week, it just don't seem to be enough to get the wt off anymore!  hugs, dawn~~

Hi Dawn We had Surgery about the same time, and I have gained back some weight.  I carry a before surgery picture with me and often look at it because I never want to go back to that!! Recently I  have gone back to the basics.  Drink lots of water, NO sugar, take my vitimins,  and write down every thing that goes in my  mouth.  The first year after surgery I was religious about writing down everything, since I have started doing it again I have lost 5 lbs in about a week.  We sure need a good support group down on the coast, that would help too. Good Luck

Thank you Cindy,  i have a before pic on my frig that i look at all the time, i too don't want to go there again! I woke up this morning with a mission to get back to the basics so far i have had a protein shake for breakfast have drank 16 oz of water and I'm going to have some plain tuna for lunch and we will see from there! I  used to write everything down too, i think i will start that again!  yhea i agree that we need a good support group down here...i kinda stopped going when i was doing so well...i was stupid and thought it was a waste of my time...because i never thought this would happen to ME!  Guess thats what i get for being so arrogant!  I really need to go to the Dr, i haven't had any labs run in over 2 yrs....yicks ! i see you used Dr Dolan do you know if there is a wt loss surgeon at Kessler now?  thanks again, dawn~~

I had labs done this past Wed. for the first time in about 2 yrs.  There is a wt loss surgeon at Kessler but all they are doing are followups, no new surgeries.  Dr Dolan is TDY now but,  the way they were talking Wed, when he gets back he won't be seeing patients because he is going to retire.  They have a wt loss nurse but only part time.  She talked about getting a support group started, but I think she has mentioned it to several people and  nothing gets done.  The phone number to the surgical clinic has changed, if you need it let me know. cindy

The number is 228-376-0425, I hope they are able to find out what the problem is. Working out 5 days a week and high blood pressure that can't be good. Cindy

I don't know how religious you are about taking your vitamins, but if you don't take them some of the things you may be deficicient in can affect your thyroid balance.  And the thyroid basically controls hormone function.  So, girl, it may not be your fault that the weight won't come back off.  Your thyroid may be sluggish.  I knew someone this happened to.  They put her on meds and she lost her 50 pounds gained.  So, make an appointment and get your labs done.   I do take my vitamins but had gotten a little slack with my B-12.  I was feeling pretty fatigued and had put on a few pounds.  I had my labs done and my B-12 had dropped from 896 to 496.  Still in normal range but not for me.  So, I got back to my B-12 religiously and did some injections to get it back going up and have since lost the weight and feel 100% better as far as energy goes.  Now if I could just fix my brain.  LOL.  Work in progress girl. well i haven't been taking any vitamins! going to take half a bottle right now , see if it will help! haha just kidding!  Thyroid problems run in my family also so I'm kind wondering if that might be the problem, my appt is on the 23 so we shall see!!!! But for now i will start on some vits...everything i take that liquid B-12 i have a horrible dumping episode! so i guess i need some shots!  thanks missy, DAWN~~

I use the sublingual B-12.  The little tablets that dissolve under the tongue and go directly into the bloodstream work well for bringing levels up.  Give those a try.   Melissa
