Is there still a support group on the coast?

Dr. Dolan is deployed. His nurse gave me the phone number to the ladies who are supposed to be having the groups. I am going to call them and see if they still are. If not, his nurse wants to start one up at Keesler, and I will be helping her on that, so I will get the word out when I find out when and where.

That would be great! I am 3 years post op and still need the support. I am also 7 months post op from plastics. April you look amazing like a new person. You are doing great!!! I know what it is like not having the support. I had my surgery 2 weeks before Katrinia and there wasnt a support group in Colorado where we moved. If it hadnt been for this board I would have been lost. I have been haning out on the plastics board for my support as of late. Hope to see everyone soon. I am working mostly nights but will do what I can to be at the meetings.  Amy

I have no clue who any of you are but I am so happy I found this website.  To read your messages and kknow that there may be a group starting out at Keesler is great. To hear that many of you have had plastic surgery and are doing well is even better. I definetly need some nip and tucks. Ha! But I need to speak about it to someone who has been there and understands. Gosh this is great!!  I'glad I found you all.  Hope I can get in contact with some of you. Thanks Connie & Amy.. I don't get on here a lot anymore.. It's just been so slow..  I would glad to a support group.. I've brought it up to Dr.Dolan's nurse the last few appt's I've had, & she would say she wanted to start a group, but then never would. I think you would have to stay on her a little to make sure it's gets done. Nothing against her, cause I'm sure she has a lot on her plate..  It just helps so much to have the support..  If you would please keep posting on how things are going and I'll be glad to help any way I can..

I am 8 months post op RNY, We are moving down to Keesler in June. I would to attend a support group when we get there.  I will keep checking back here to see if things get moving. Is there a plastic surgeon at Keesler? I would love to get my tummy fixed, But Im not sure how long you have to wait before you can get plastics done.

There is a lady that I have spoken to and she is one that Kessler gives the name for I will give her a call this week I would like to get one on the SEABEE BASE.I think that a space is needed for the meetings.............I would love to start a meeting at the gym and incorperate it in with a workout
