Birth story finally. lol lol
Well we showed up at the hospital 5:30 a.m. Friday October 26th and they started drip at 6:30. At 11 the baby had not dropped at all so my dr stopped the drip and we decided to go ahead with c-section. He did not want me to go through much stress cause of my age and plus my labor pains were making the baby's heart rate drop too much. so at 1:30 I was taken back for the c-section and at 3:10 p.m. on October 26th my BEAUTIFUL baby girl. She was 6 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. You might remember that we did not find out the sex and during the c-section no one would tell us what she was. I finally yelled out after they were ooing and awwing over her "what is my baby?" lol lol and everyone at the same time yelled out it's a girl. This is only the second girl in 5 generations on my husbands side so needless to say we were shocked and excited!!!!! Today she is currently 10 1/2 weeks old and weighs 11 lbs and is 23 inches long. We had shots yesterday and she came through with flying colors. I had to go back to work today so that sucked but luckly my mil is keeping her half the week and my mom and dad are keeing her the other half so I dont really have a thing to worrry about there. Oh yeah we named her Janielyn Pigott. No middle name which really threw some people off but I am sure she can go through life with out having a middle name. lol lol Also we were able to breast feed for 5 weeks and due to an illness I had after the c-section the meds they gave me dried up most my milk. But I am truly thankful that I got to nurse her that long. Also she has done wonderful on formula. She has only spit up 3 times since day of birth until now. And burps like a champ. Embarresses me during church. lol lol I wish everyone the best and hope that everyone is doing great. I will check in and see how everyone is doing as I can. Who ever said a baby changes your life sure did not lie. And trust you me after we tried for 10 years to have one that gave us plenty of time to become selfish with out time so we have had to make major adjustments but it has been worth every single moment. In fact since I just turned 40 in dec we are already discussing number 2. I just dont want to wait too long you know. esp since it took so long to get her here and not knowing even if I can have another. So I think by summer we might just try again and see what happens. Oh well stay well everyone!
Love ya
Denise
