What's cooking for New Years Day? I read in a local paper one year that you are suppose to cook dry beans (not real sure why, can't remember), something green and leafy to represent $$$ in the new year, something sweet for love and hog jowl for some reason. anyone heard of anything else we are suppose to do...lol.

Here is part of my menu:

Drien Pinto Beans
Fried Cabbage or maybe turnip greens but probably the cabbage (my dh loves it)
hog jowl
Drunken Chicken
Mashed sweet potatoes
Strawberry Delite

Lordy lordy...stay away from our house later that evening.....! It could get noisy!!!
